We love working with all our clients but do get especially giddy when working with a new client on a new branding project.
When Sue, the designer/creative behind the label Retro Diva asked us to design a new logo for her we couldn’t say no – but before we started creating any visuals for the logo we discussed Sue’s plans and aspirations for the business. To uncover what Retro Diva stands for to her and what she wants it to mean to her clients to ensure that Sue would LOVE… and she did.
“A big thank you to Jane at Rebus Creative for creating my new branding/logo. It was incredibly important to me both commercially and emotionally that it was ‘right’ and she definitely went the extra mile to make sure it was ‘the devil is in the detail’."
As every piece of clothing designed by Sue is unique and personal, our approach to designing the logo took a similar theme. The Retro-Diva style is all about translating some of that fabulous old school Hollywood glamour into styles which can be worn today, to make the wearer look and feel ‘special & different.’
We had a lot of fun creating and developing several logo ideas working through them with Sue, tweaking and refining them until the final version of the logo was agreed.
That might sound like there was a lot of revisions or that this was a long, drawn out process but it wasn’t – it’s all part of how we work to ensure we find the right balance of meeting the requirements of the client without compromising on our creative ethos… to deliver stunning design solutions that our clients love.
